When the air is very very cold, the snowflakes will be tiny, and hard.
When the air isn’t that cold, the snowflakes will be larger and softer.

Snowflakes have six sides and are very beautiful to look at.
No two snowflakes are the same.
They come in many different shapes and sizes.
Snow protects our trees, grass and plants during the winter time.
When the spring time comes and melts our snow, the trees, grass and plants drink the melted snow and will be ready to grow big, bright, and colorful again.
We need to dress warm in the winter so our bodies don’t get too cold. We need to wear boots, mitts, hats, snow pants, winter coats, scarves, hats, and ear muffs.
We can have fun playing in the snow, tobogganing, making snowmen, snow forts, snow balls, and snow angels.
Get some small spray bottles and fill them with different colors of water colored by food coloring, when you are with the children outside, have them spray the snow with the spray bottles and they will create fun colored snow.
